KUALA LUMPUR, 1 November 2023 – The Selangor Information Technology and Digital Economy Corporation (Sidec) is proud to announce the culmination of the highly anticipated Selangor E-Commerce Xccelerator (ECX23) with a triumphant Final Demo Day. Hosted at Menara PNS, Bangsar South, this event not only highlighted the immense potential within the e-commerce sector but also celebrated the crowning of five exceptional winners
- Aiming to drive transformative impact, the Selangor E-Commerce Xccelerator (ECX23) 2023 Demo Day featured an evolutionary line-up of 10 up-and-coming e-commerce merchants to a panel of VCs and industry experts.
- Following three (3) months of intensive rounds of selection processes and participation in various entrepreneurship and mentorship initiatives, the victors will be awarded a portion of the RM125,000 in prizes and an overseas business trip to Hangzhou which is the birthplace of e-commerce giants such as Alibaba and many more.

The Final Demo Day was graced by distinguished guests including YB Ng Sze Han, Selangor State Executive Councillor for Investment, Trade & Mobility, Sidec CEO, Yong Kai Ping, and Raymond Lee Wei Hwa, Head of Business Marketing and Development, Group Enterprise Banking at Affin Bank.
After an intense pitching session, where the top 10 finalists showcased the result of three months of rigorous training, mentorship, and development, the following five companies emerged victorious:
- Nori Malaysia Sdn Bhd
- Pastels Group Sdn Bhd
- Shapee Trading & Distribution (M) Sdn Bhd
- Sonobee Ultrasound Sdn Bhd
- Big Bath Sdn Bhd
These winners were selected based on their innovative business models, growth potential, and effective utilisation of the insights gained from the ECX23 programme. They represent the crème de la crème of Selangor’s burgeoning e-commerce landscape.
The finalists were evaluated by esteemed judges, including Punitharaja Nadaraja, Senior Regional Director of Sales & Distribution at Group Enterprise Banking – Affin Bank; Yong Kai Ping, CEO of Sidec; Alan Kok Kim Lin, CBDO & Co-Founder of EasyStore; Oon Wee Keong, Co-Founder & COO of Razer Merchant Services; Mior Luqman, VP of Investments at RHL Ventures; and Hafizam Shamsudin, Head of Fund Investments at MAVCAP.
“Their success is a testament to the resilience and innovation that embodies the spirit of Selangor’s entrepreneurs,” said YB Ng Sze Han during his closing speech.
As champions, these five companies will not only receive cash prizes but also the opportunity for overseas business trips to Hangzhou where it is the birthplace of e-commerce giants such as Alibaba and many more opening doors for business expansion and invaluable networking opportunities. They will also be inducted into the prestigious CXO Club, a league of premier businesses where they can forge valuable connections leading to new ventures and partnerships.
