On the 8th of November, the Selangor Information Technology and E-Commerce Council (SITEC) were proud to host a delegation of merchants and e-Commerce players from Taiwan at the Selangor Digital Creative Centre (SDCC), who were here as part of a visit by the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (Taitra).
The delegation, led by Elina Lee Hui-Ling, executive director of the digital commerce department of Taitra, visited with the intention of learning more about the local e-Commerce scene, as well as to establish contacts for potential partnerships here. Local merchants and leading industry players were present as well, to be better able to answer the queries of the delegation, as well as establish contacts. These included representatives from local marketplaces and payment gateways.
The visit included a sharing session by the merchants from Taiwan, who shared about their businesses and their aims for visiting, which leaned towards seeking partners and opportunities for cross-border expansion of their goods and offerings.
The merchants that visited included names such as AccuVally Inc, Gogolook Co., Ltd, PicSee Inc, VesCir Ltd, Playsure Technology Co., Ltd, Advanced Delivery Technology Co Ltd, AdvMeds. Co., Ltd, and Bijoux de Couture International Corp, Ltd.
This visit marks improving trade relations between businesses in Taiwan with local players, which in turn increases opportunities for local players to reach out to a wider market.
