Deep-X Criteria

1. Team Formation & Leadership

  • The startup must be formed before joining the programme.
  • Co-founders can be students, entrepreneurs, or industry professionals.
  • The team must have a designated Project Lead.

2. Technology Readiness & Innovation

  • Lab-Proven Proof of Concept (PoC) – Experimentally validated technology with potential applications.
  • Functional Lab Prototype – A working prototype showcasing the core innovation.
  • Registered Intellectual Property (IP) – Patents, trade secrets, or proprietary tech.
*Priority goes to projects with TRL 4+, signaling progress toward commercialisation.

3. Business Readiness & Program Commitment

  • Be a legally registered company (SSM certified).
  • Be ready to commit to the 12 weeks accelerator program, which includes:
  • Industry mentorship & technical guidance
  • Investor & VC networking
  • Business model refinement & commercialisation strategy development
  • Have a Minimum Viable Product (MVP) or early-stage scalable prototype available for evaluation.

4. Financial Commitment & Growth Opportunities

  • A commitment fee of RM 6,480 (inclusive of 8% SST) is required for all shortlisted startups.
  • The fee secures your exhibition spot at SDEC 2025, regardless of programme outcome.
  • The top 10 startups will gain access to international expansion opportunities, funding connections, and industry showcases.
